We exist because a story is not merely a vehicle for a message.
It is the message itself.
A man on a bench, a camera, a patch of light. Most of what we do is wait, and watch.
Interview setup
We do not begin with cameras. We begin with curiosity.
Mamphego Phasha Studios is a South African storytelling studio, founded in Soweto in 2016 and built on the conviction that the most important stories are those that reveal people honestly: their labour, their dignity, their complexity, their light.
We are not technologists. We are listeners. We translate the interior lives of institutions, communities and individuals into something that can be seen, felt and remembered.
